Meet the IVY Skin Team
IVY Skin is a boutique electrolysis, laser and skin clinic in Padstow Heights established in 2013, owned by mother-and-daughter team Kelly and Emma Dermody. Together with senior therapist Maddison Dermody, we bring a combined 55 years of experience as beauty therapists and educators.
Kelly and Emma founded Dermaskin Academy, a nationally accredited beauty training provider. That means every therapist at IVY Skin is trained to the exact standards we teach - and works the way we do.
We believe great results start with education. We’ll always explain what your treatment involves, how many sessions you’re likely to need and how to care for your skin at home, so you can feel confident every step of the way.

Kelly Dermody
Founder and Senior Dermal Skin Specialist
Kelly has over 30 years of clinical electrolysis and beauty therapy experience. She founded Dermaskin Academy, leads the Electrology division of the Aesthetic and Beauty Industry Council (ABIC) and was an ABIA Educator of the Year finalist in 2025 and 2026. Kelly sees clients around her teaching schedule.
Emma Dermody
Co-owner, Senior Dermal Therapist and Cosmetic Tattoo Artist
Emma is co-owner of IVY Skin and Dermaskin Academy, where she trains the next generation of beauty therapists. She is our cosmetic tattoo artist for soft, natural-looking brows and sees clients in clinic fortnightly.
Peyton
Beauty Therapist
Peyton specialises in electrolysis, skin needling, carbon laser peels and lash tints. Clients love how thorough and calming she is. You will find her in clinic on Fridays and Saturdays (soon to be Thursdays and Sundays as well!)
Fatima
Beauty Therapist
Fatima offers a wide range of our treatments, from electrolysis to skin, lash and brow services. She takes the time to explain every step so you feel relaxed and confident. You will find her in clinic on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Maddison Dermody
Senior Therapist and Educator
Maddi is a senior therapist and educator who treats clients across our full menu of services. Her clients rave about her brow work - and she brings the same care and precision to every treatment.
